I Don’t Have a Problem with Social Media

My problem is how we’re all willing puppets — and their creators know it.

I’d like to begin by sharing a short excerpt from the book “Surprise” —

According to Zack, we modern humans are Content Zombies: hollowed-out creatures with an endless lust for entertaining information. Starving zombies don’t sit down to take advantage of a freshly caught victim. They don’t savor the moment. They grope and tear. Then they stumble away, leaving sizable chunks of their meal untouched. Zack points out that we do the same when we get our hands on new content. We’re always looking for more to see, read, and try, but at the end of the day, we still feel empty. We never dig in deep enough to feel fulfilled.

I’m writing this article partly because of my drowned-out frustrations when it comes to the current state of the Internet — more particularly, social media.

We probably don’t need ANOTHER article on social media, but please give this article a read if you also see social media usage like this massive road-block obstructing you from your tasks and goals.

This article is also for social media addicts (ex or present) and is probably not for you if your social media usage is decently normal.
